About Us:
Hank
has been involved in mergers and acquisitions for over twenty years and
participated in over 100 transactions, helping owners of medium-sized businesses
sell their businesses. His specialties include: manufacturing, software,
distribution and staffing industries.
In
his current merger and acquisition work, he helps sellers: prepare for the sale,
value the business, market the business, negotiate and finance the transaction.
He also acts as consultant to companies selling their business to a
pre-selected buyer, such as friend, relative or competitor. In addition, and he
consults with companies in preparing for the ultimate sale and exit strategy.
For buyers, he is active in conducting comprehensive, confidential acquisition
searches.
Hank was Project Manager in the Corporate Development Department of
Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp. In that position, he was responsible for
corporate acquisitions and divestiture projects. In his career with Kaiser, he
held other management positions, including Chief Engineer of a major division,
General Purchasing Manager, Project Manager on the design and construction of
numerous chemical plants around the world. He was Maintenance Superintendent in
the largest aluminum reduction plant in the country and he was Operations
Manager at a major real estate development project in Southern California.
Hank's education includes bachelor's and master's
degrees in chemical engineering. He holds a California Real Estate Broker's
License, a California General Contractor's License and a California Professional
Engineer's License. He has earned a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation from the
International Business Brokers Association and the Merger and Acquisition Master
Intermediary (M&AMI) from the M&A Source group.
For over 10 years, he was the editor of the
quarterly Newsletter, Selling Your Business. He currently edits a monthly
electronic newsletter, Exit Strategy Coach. Subscribe here.
He is a member of the the California Association of Business Brokers and the International
Business Brokers Association M&A Source group. He was active in the
non-profit San Francisco Bay Area CEO Club as the local sponsor and facilitator
the club's Presidential Advisory Councils.
